We have reserved blocks of rooms at two area hotels, which offer either shuttle service to Harvard Square or easy access to the Red Line. Mention the Thorpe-Eshleman wedding to receive a discounted rate.

  • The Doubletree Guest Suites Boston, about two miles from the site, is offering a discounted rate of $129/night (down from $179), plus a $20/night parking fee if you bring a car. They offer a shuttle to Harvard Square, and can be reached at 1-617-783-0090.
  • The Cambridge Gateway Inn is offering us a discounted rate of about $82/night, which is 10% off. They don't offer a shuttle to Harvard Square, but the Alewife T stop is very close: a five-minute walk or a brief shuttle ride from the hotel. (Harvard Square is three stops inbound from Alewife.) Contact them at 1-866-427-6660.

Be sure to reserve by June 25th to be part of either block.

If neither of our suggestions suit your fancy, there are plenty of other hotels in Boston and Cambridge. In particular, the Charles River Hotel, the Inn at Harvard, and the Sheraton Commander are three high-end options located within minutes of the church. You also might want to look at the John Jeffries House, a large B&B near the Charles/MGH T stop, especially if you're traveling alone — they offer reasonable rates for single-bed studios, and are very well-reviewed.
